10 Things I Hate About You
Filmed in 1999 and directed by Gil Junger, “10 Things I Hate About You” is a classic romantic comedy following Cameron James (Joseph Gordon Levitt), a new student who becomes instantly smitten with the popular Bianca Stanford. Determined to ask her out, Cameron is suddenly hit with the fact that Biana is not allowed to date unless her older sister, Kat Stanford, played by Julia Stiles, does. Cameron and his new friend Michael pay the school’s known bad boy Patrick Verona,played by Heath Ledger, to ask Kat on a date. But, Kat wants no relationship in her life, making Patrick’s mission even harder. Soon enough and shockingly to both, Kat and Patrick begin to feel a spark between them. Filled with tons of laughs, amazing characters and memorable heartwarming scenes that will leave you smiling or tearing up, this Shakespearean classic, available on Disney Plus or Hulu, is definitely a Valentine’s Day must watch.

Jenna Rink (Jennifer Garner) is a 13 year-old wishing nothing more than to be older. On her birthday, her wish comes true, suddenly turning her into her successful 30 year-old self. Jenna is overjoyed as an adult, eventually falling in love with her best friend, Matt, who is played by Mark Ruffalo. As time moves on, complications start to arise and Jenna faces hardship with Matt and her career, making her wish she was back at 13. This feel-good movie, streamed on HBO Max, captures the feeling of wanting to grow up with just the right amount of comedy and emotion.
Love, Rosie
Rosie (Lily Collins) and Alex (Sam Clafin) have been joined at the hip since they were five years old. As they grow into teenagers, Rosie, suddenly faced with an unplanned situation, stays in her hometown while Alex goes to Harvard for his medical career. Sometimes bumping into each other through the course of their lives, they realize they never had a connection with anyone but each other. This movie is on Amazon and will have you on your toes while feeling exasperated with Rosie and Alex constantly missing their chances.

She explains how “10 Things I Hate About You” is a perfect movie for high school teen romance that is filled with funny banters. “” 13 going on 30” is very relatable because it somehow shows us the feeling of wanting to grow up and experience everything in the adult world,” Perez said.
