At 9:00 p.m. on May 15, country artist Morgan Wallen released his double album titled, “I’m The Problem”, two years after he dropped his previous album, “One Thing At A Time” in 2023.
The album contains 37 songs and features artists such as Tate McRae, Post Malone, Ernest and a couple others on many notable tracks.
Prior to the release, many fans had been eager to jump on any early drops from the album, as seven of eight songs were featured number one across all genres on Apple Music for some time shortly after their release.
All songs in the album had been number one in the country genre, and on May 13, “Superman”, “Just In Case”, “I’m The Problem” and three other of Wallen’s featured songs were in the Top 15 most streamed songs in the U.S. according to Apple Music, and the rest of the album was in the top 40.
Junior Maya Lopez is amongst many anticipating the release of the album as she’s “so excited”. The morning of the drop, she listened to Wallen’s new song, “Lies Lies Lies”, now a new favorite of hers.

One full day after the drop, the album ranked first amongst recently released albums with Wallen occupying 38 of the top 50 spots on Apple Music U.S.
The first song to not be released early on the album, “I Got Better”, is one of the in-between tracks where the melody is somewhat upbeat but the lyrics get you to kick back and feel what Wallen is singing.
“I really like the overall tune of the song,” junior Rook Johnson said. “I also like the motivational message behind it.”
The album had five tracks with collabs well-known artists. The two most advertised tracks, “What I want ft. Tate McRae” and “Come Back As A Redneck ft. HARDY”, didn’t disappoint and carry a catchy beat with opening lyrics that instantly hook listeners.
“I’m The Problem” did the best on the album, illustrating the story of a man exploring a destructive relationship as he admits to his faults but questions why his partner stayed with him.
“I can see why [“I’m The Problem” did so well],” Lopez said, “The beat is really good and the song is super catchy.”
From this album, Wallen proves once more why he remains as one of the main faces of country music. Blending songs of heartbreak, healing, and good times, Wallen is able to continuously touch the hearts of longtime listeners and new fans.
