Adam Colman
Q: What did you want to be growing up?
A: I didn’t really know. A teacher or a coach was always some of the things I thought about. I feel like they helped me grow and had a positive effect on me growing up so I’m trying to pay it forward.
Q: How are you liking Buena so far?
A: I love it. When I was looking for schools, I heard a lot of great things about Buena; There is nearly no downside to this school. The kids here are awesome, they show up wanting to learn, are respectful and care about their grades. So far, it has been awesome.
Bonnie Cox
Q: What was your favorite subject as a kid, and how did it translate to who you wanted to be growing up?
A: My favorite subject was always math and it translated into me being a math teacher and tutor; I still love it very much.
Q: How are you liking Buena so far?
A: I enjoy it very much, I love Buena I think it’s great how you [students] are a little closer in age to a young adult so you would have more in common with me.

Q: What made you want to teach science?
A: Physics has been my favorite subject, and I am excited to have a class that I enjoy and that helps students legitimately enjoy the subject.
Q: How are you liking Buena so far?
A: I have had a good experience so far, everyone has been very welcoming and I am excited to see what the year brings.
Spencer Jacobs
Q: Why did you choose to teach History?
A: History has always been interesting to me, I want to spark critical thinking and teach students that they can create history.
Q: How are you liking Buena so far?
A: It’s amazing, really fun. I like my classes a lot and the kids are awesome.
Alessandria Posada
Q: Why did you choose to be an English teacher?
A: I wanted to be a journalist first, but then after college I realized English was something I wanted to do when my brother was talking about a book he didn’t understand and I explained the book to them like a teacher. I already loved reading and writing so that’s what kinda prompted it.
Q: How are you liking Buena so far?
A: I love it, honestly, it’s such a great school. I love my students, the department is amazing; I have nothing but to rave about how great Buena is.
Candice Hernandez
Q: How is your relationship with the rest of the staff?
A: It’s amazing. They’re absolutely helpful and I see them every single day. At the beginning of school, after school and I send them emails. It’s been totally wonderful.
Q: How are you liking Buena so far?
A: I absolutely love Buena. This is technically my first year teaching here, but I was here last year as a student teacher and I absolutely loved it.
Rebecca Miller
Q: Have you always wanted to be a teacher?
A: Not always, I thought I would maybe go into law, but after college, I started subbing just to make money, then I started to really enjoy it.
Q: How are you liking Buena so far?
A: So far, I’m actually really loving it. I was pretty nervous, but ever since I’ve been here, the students work really hard, they are kind to me and to each other, I really like the other teachers I’ve met, and I’m super happy to be here .
