Throughout the past couple of months, there have been many memorable albums that cycled through pop culture. Yet, these four have had an exceedingly strong influence over every social media platform.
“Man’s Best Friend,” by Sabrina Carpenter
The album has skyrocketed across every streaming and media platform. Controversial or not, the album debuted number one on the Billboard 200, with over eight million Spotify streams, achieving the title of the highest debut for a female artist in 2025, by Forbes Magazine.
Produced by the well-known Jack Antanoff and John Ryan, this catchy blend of pop and funk paired with her suggestive lyricism makes 12 irresistible songs that easily get stuck in your head.
The most memorable song, “Manchild,” really conquered the internet. Deemed as a huge contender for the song of the summer, this single song debuted number one on the Billboard Hot 100; her first to do so. She also won a MTV Music Video award for “Best Visual Effects” for the music video.
Sombr’s debut album, “I Barely Know Her”
The album went completely viral on every social media platform for all the right reasons. Debuting at 14 on the Billboard 200, the album achieved significant commercial and critical success.
Produced by Tony Berg and Sombr himself, this 10 song track of indie rock and alternative pop influence takeover will be sure to leave you amazed.
There were two exceedingly viral songs on the album. His first song that went viral on TikTok, “Back to Friends,” peaked at the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. With over 36 million streams, this hit was heard everywhere. This song also won him his first VMA for “Best Alternative Video.”
The second song, “Undressed,” reached number one on Billboard Hot Rock and Alternative Songs, which then became the first new song to top the chart in over a year.
“Essex Honey,” by Blood Orange
“Essex Honey” was his comeback album after not releasing music in over six years. This was his long awaited revival, and his listeners are loving it.
This album has a total of 14 songs, some with heavily known voices: Lorde and Daniel Caesar. Every song was entirely written and produced by Dev Hynes (Blood Orange), Mikaelin Bluespruce and Hebra Kadry.
The album consists of a combination of genres, including R&B, alternative and indie pop. With the continuous lofi appeal, it’s a great album to relax and take a breather to.
One of the most memorable songs on the album is one called, “The Field”, featuring Daniel Caesar, The Durutii Column, Tariq Al-Sabir and Caroline Polachek. Some have said it is arguably one of the most beautiful songs he’s ever produced. The blend of harmonies guarantees it is certainly one to remember.
Tom Odell’s eighth album, “A Wonderful Life”
Tom Odell’s latest album really embodies the aspect of the word and meaning of melancholy.
This album was produced by Tom Odell and the production Cityfall, which brought audiences 10 heavily emotional, fantastic songs that are surely unforgettable. There are blends of indie, rock and pop that are heavily disguised by cries of passion.
There are two songs that stand out from the rest. The released single, “Don’t Cry, Put Your Head On My Shoulder,” has a slow build and fantastic tension of what it feels to experience acceptance. His fans have described it as a remarkable piece of work, and it is in fact viral for every right reason.
The other song, “The End of Suffering,” feels like a long weep to finish out the album. Many reviews, such as the Melodic Magazine, have stated it as an extraordinary, passionate, melancholic song. Some have said it’s his best piece of work. There’s no doubt it’ll become a hit.
The past few months have been exciting times for avid music fans, receiving four fantastic, multi-growing albums. As these artists continue to grow, their impact does too. There’s no doubt that there will be many more albums to come.
