Summer bash, one last dance

April 15 was the last dance of the school year, the summer bash. A school wide free dance that took place at the stadium. While not many showed, those who did were able to have fun or relax before testing starts.

  • Freshman Stephanie Sowers, left, and sophomores Shellby Wong, middle, and Kiana Forrest, right, wore long sleeves and jeans as protection against the cold, but that did not stop them from putting on lays and fake tattoos.

  • From the white sunglasses to his multicolored hula skirt, senior Luke Rowley brought out the summer in summer bash. He, like other students, wore jeans. the cold weather, he was able to bring out a colorful summer button up for the occasion.

  • Freshmens Dominik Nunes Da Silva, left, and Richard Gomez, right, dressed their best for the final dance of the school year. The bright neon lays around their neck and beach sunglasses brought an iconic look for the night coinciding with the theme.

  • Freshmen Ashton Brandl, left, and Delyse Rossingnol, right, made use of the tables set out for students. Decorated with a light blue tablecloth to match the photo backdrop, the two were able to enjoy a relaxing night.

  • As students entered the dance they were offered free lays to go with the theme. Many went back for more throughout the night, and students got creative with their usage. Some simply wore it around their neck, others turned the lay into bracelets or a makeshift flower crown.

  • Near the entrance was a photobooth decorated with flowers and a white and blue backdrop. Students received two free printed copies of their photos, perfect for pictures in pairs. Throughout the night students were seen taking their photos in groups, duo’s or singles.
