Overview
Prime Video’s exclusive trending show, “56 Days” was released Feb. 18, 2026. The series showcases a “love story” starting day one of meeting each other, with a whirlwind romance that features a typically cute meet spark. However, by the 56th day, police would find a body so decomposed that investigators couldn’t distinguish if the subject is male or female.
Ciara Wyse (Dove Cameron), is a woman with a fresh start, moving into the big city of Boston with just one singular mission that is so far-fetched her lover couldn’t see it coming. Oliver Kennedy (Avin Jogia) is a man that has been graciously born into his line of work, practically born with a silver spoon in his mouth, despite his small town beginnings. When these two lovers met, they clicked, but perhaps too well.
Detectives Lee Reardon (Karla Souza) and Karl Connolly (Dorian Missick) have been partners for several years. With that, they think they know each other inside and out, but as the investigation of the murder goes on, a little secret is emerging as evidence from the murder comes to light.
Shifting from the present day, Reardon and Connolly look into the murder that has taken place in a home that Kennedy’s company once rented. Wyse and Kennedy’s story continues, having all sorts of fast moving relationship aspects as their love continues to grow. Was it wrong for them not to think that this was each other’s one true love?
Throughout the 56 days, viewers start to see flaws and inconsistencies of each partner, putting a twist to each episode going back and forth on who had been killed and left in the tub to rot away.
With Kennedy having various mental illnesses and a secret that has been eating him from the inside out, seeping for decades, and something affecting Kenndey’s new relationships, this show is full of unexpected twists and turns that keep you on your feet.

Overall Rating: 10/10
As someone who had no prior expectations and stumbled on this show while bored, it is SO GOOD. It is suspenseful and creates something that I haven’t seen in a long time, a quality show that shows the actors true talents to portray their skills. Each episode made me want to keep watching more and more.
“It’s really dramatic, and it’s intriguing. It makes me want to continue watching it because it has me hooked every time an episode ends,” Ventura high school sophomore Emily Abbey said.
Cameron and Jogia, both widely recognized for their roles as Disney (Cameron) and Nickelodeon (Jogia) teens (Cameron in Liv and Maddie and Jogia in Victorious), brought a unique dynamic to the project. Their casting made the viewing experience feel like an unofficial collaboration between the two nostalgic worlds. It was especially exciting to watch and their performances were incredibly powerful, conveying a deep range of emotion.
The production itself was cinematic, and I would be surprised if 56 Days didn’t get an award for it. I also would say that, overall, the show had piqued my interest, and I do think it would interest a lot of people as well, proving its excellence.
