As of the 2026 NFL off season, wide receiver Puka Nacua for the Los Angeles Rams faced public scrutiny while dealing with personal issues from public opinion as he works through personal issues.
Nacua went to Brigham Young University (BYU), drafted 5th round in the 2023 NFL draft and broke the rookie’s receptions and receiving yard records during his rookie season. In only his second season with the Rams, with his rise in popularity, many think he might have the potential to be one of the greatest.
“Last season Nacua had an almost [historical] season [regardless] of the injuries he got last season. I really wish it would not [have turned] out like this for [Nacua],” sophomore and Rams fan Josiah Perez said.
However, as of this year’s off-season, his career might not be as bright. Now ex-girlfriend Hallie Aiono and Nacua recently announced news of a baby coming, sharing their excitement online. But with baby Kingston born on Oct. 30, 2025, a paternity test came back with news of alleged cheating and a possible illegitimate son.
The alleged fall out of Nacua and Aiono came right after with Aiono arguing for split custody, with full physical custody and visiting rights to Nacua.
Nacua has also faced not one but two different allegations of anti-semetic behavior. The first being in December 2025 while on a kick-stream with popular streamer/creator Rangesh Mutama commonly known as N3on. Nacua had been influenced to perform an anti-semetic action claiming to not have known the significance behind a gesture.
At a New Year’s Eve party later that same month, he was accused of stating an anti-semetic statement of “F— all the Jews”, and although this was a highly offensive and concerning statement, it had not been released to the public until late March of 2026.
The allegation came from Madison Atiabi, a woman at the party, who claimed that he had made the derogatory remark along with ‘biting her left shoulder’. these offenses alone are heavily weighted and put his career on the line.
Atiabi originally filed a lawsuit against Nacua and petitioned for a restraining order, but after being denied due to insufficient evidence, she decided the best course of action was to focus on the lawsuit instead.
With all of the hardship Nauca has and is facing, he checked himself into a rehabilitation center. This was not the first time Nacua has been in the rehabilitation center; he had previously been prior to all of the allegations and had planned on staying regardless of the unravelment of the accusations.
