Eras Tour Movie is the most watched concert film and breaking many records

Singing, dancing, and crying erupts from every theater showing “The Eras Tour,” since it was released on Oct. 13. The movie, directed by Sam Wrench, is a live version of the still ongoing “Eras tour” by Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift is one of the most successful musicians alive today. She just became a billionaire and she has had one of the most successful tours in history. Swift’s “Eras Tour” is the highest grossing tour by a woman and the 2nd highest grossing tour ever by any person, according to CNN. So far it has made $244.2 million.

She has made her past tours into concert films as well, but this is by far the most watched and made the most money. The attraction is unmatched in parcel to her other documentaries and films.

This documentary received extremely high ratings from most sources. It got an 8.3/10 from IMDb, 99% from Rotten Tomatoes, and a 98% from Fandango.

The release date itself was intentional like most aspects of the tour, 13 being Swift’s favorite number. In almost every  theater, the audience couldn’t stay in their seats and took to dancing and singing, as if they were experts at the concert first hand. Other theaters were more mellow, where people were sitting down and only some of them were singing.

The premiere for this movie was at The Grove on Oct. 11 in LA. For a few theaters at the premiere, Swift popped in to give a speech and watch part of the movie with them. Which must’ve been awesome for the fans.

At the theaters, movie posters were available in a limited amount, as well as an Eras tour cup and popcorn buckets. Some people even traded Taylor Swift themed friendship bracelets.

This film is just under 3 hours long, coming in at two hours and 49 minutes long. The concert itself is just above 3.5 hours, meaning, they did have to cut some songs out of the movie. Fan favorites, such as “The Archer,” “No body, No crime,” “Long Live,” “Cardigan,” and “Wildest Dreams,” were cut. Some of these songs, however, were not originally on the set list.

She also went through many outfit changes during the tour which she did not include in the movie. This is because it would have made  the movie much longer.

Overall, this movie was amazing, it was a good idea by Swift and her team. It gave you a close up of the actual concert for the people who had bad seats or did not even go to the concert at all. So, if you are looking to relive the Era’s Tour or watch the movie since you could not go to the tour, I suggest buying tickets to this wonderful movie at any theater.
