On March 18, 2026 Invincible officially released season four as a Prime video exclusive with the first three episodes. Invincible is a fictional superhero TV show about the main character Mark Grayson, known as ”Invincible” (Steven Yeun), trying to find himself and his rank among his family and his superhero companions.
During the wait for the episodes to be released, Prime started a live video exactly one hour before the new episodes were released with one of the main protagonists of last season, Conquest (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) . He was thought to have been killed by Mark and Samatha Eve Wilkins (Gillian Jacobs) who is Mark’s girlfriend, and also has superpowers, but was imprisoned by Cecil Stedmen (Walton Goggins), who runs the Global Defense Agency. As the timer went off for the new season, we got a clip of Conquest escaping the imprisonment and going into space.
All three episodes each had a different distinct vibe and story behind them. Episode one “Making the World a Better Place”, episode two “I’ll Give You the Grand Tour” and lastly for this release“I Gotta Get Some Air”.
Episode one showed viewers the emotions and effects of last season’s invincible war on the superheros, mainly M. Grayson, Wilkins and Oliver Grayson/Kid Omni Man (Christian Convery). We see after the war, M. Grayson has become more dull, Wilkins is having trouble with her powers and O. Grayson has been having trouble with the motivation of being a superhero.
In episode two, we finally get to see Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons) and Allen the Alien (Seth Rogan) go on missions across the universe with other characters to prepare for the Viltrumite war. Also during the episode, we see N. Grayson backstory as a Viltrumite.
Finally, in episode three, we get back to Earth and see some familiar faces of heroes, villains and Cecil trying to establish his relationship with Mark, but mainly we see the Flaxans are back. The Guardians of the Globe have to rush over, and, thankfully, they have the help of Invincible.
“I love [Invincible’s first three episodes]… It’s all really good, [but] I feel it could have been a little better on some parts like the repetitiveness of the flaxens,” sophomore and Invincible fan Cash Peden said.
Overall, I would say these first three episodes were amazing to see. My favorite of them was definitely episode two and being able to see how being a Viltumite was for Nolan compared to Mark.
Make sure to stay tuned for the next five episodes, airing every wednesday from Mar. 25, 2026 to Apr. 22, 2026 on Prime Video.
