Class of 2024 danced the night away at this years Senior Ball, Feb. 10 and created more memories for their final year. This “night in New York” took place at the Spanish Hills Club, and had a classy, elegant feel.
For many students, this dance is something they look forward to throughout their years at Buena. With this in mind, event coordinator senior Thasmeah Sardar took planning very seriously to ensure the success of the event.
“The planning process took several months and took a lot of careful consideration,” Sardar said. “There was a lot of communication between me, the ASB advisors, the ASB bookkeeper, and admin to make sure everything went smoothly.”
The twinkle lights, buffet-style dinner, and flower centerpieces gave the dance a sophisticated atmosphere. Sardar described how every facet of the dance, from the photobooth to the mocktails, was selected very carefully to make every ticket worth it.
“Senior ball is important because as seniors, we want to have opportunities to create memories before we head off to the new chapters of our lives,” Sardar said.
Beginning their last semester of high school, seniors were given this night to spend time with their closest friends and reminisce about the years they spent together. Senior Divina Miranda went to the event, one of the greatest celebrations of the year.
“This dance is special because having the seniors recognized in this way creates community among peers. I had an amazing time,” Miranda said.
The event was a spectacular success, receiving high praise from students and administration. Senior Allison Dato had been looking forward to this dance for a long time and was not let down in the slightest. She enjoyed dancing with her favorite people, playing games on the lawn, and taking pictures at the photo booth.
“My overall experience at senior ball was amazing,” Dato said. “I had a great time hanging out with my class and dancing for hours.”
